Dr. Mia Grothman Helena is the founding member of Spero Naturopathic Medicine and a board-certified Naturopathic medical doctor. Dr. Mia practices holistic primary care and focuses on women’s health, endocrine dysfunction, and pediatric care. Dr. Mia graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Whitworth University and went on to complete her four-year doctoral program with the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. A Coeur d’Alene native, she returned home after her clinical education and has been serving her hometown community ever since. Addressing the root cause of illness and highlighting preventative practices for future vitality, she works with patients to align gut, mind, and hormone health to strengthen the whole person. Dr. Mia meets patients where they are in their health journey and individualizes care to prioritize minimally interventive natural medicines before relying on surgery and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Mia resides locally with her husband, Eric, their daughter, Greta, and their three dogs.
