Dr. Mia Grothman Helena is the founding member of Spero Naturopathic Medicine and a board-certified Naturopathic medical doctor. Dr. Mia practices holistic primary care and focuses on women’s health, endocrine dysfunction, and pediatric care. Dr. Mia graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Whitworth University and went on to complete her four-year doctoral program with the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR.
What is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor?
Naturopathic doctors have a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from regionally accredited schools and are required to pass national licensing exams before practicing medicine. Naturopathic doctors are also required to complete yearly continuing education requirements to remain in practice. Naturopathic Medical Doctors in the state of Idaho are licensed as primary care practitioners. Licensure and scope of practice vary by state.
